Which delivery time do SPIGOGROUP‘s products have?

The delivery time will be agreed in the budget and respect the Work Schedule of La Rioja (Spain). The days, which are said in delivery time, will be working days. Approximate delivery timeframes (material stock to 500 sqm): 10/15 days for melamine and 20/25 days for natural wood.

If I have some problem with a product, how can I claim?

Spigogroup, in its position of manufacturer (no installer) shall not be liable for any problems encountered when installing long as the material is in perfect condition; in which case otherwise it shall immediately within 48 hours of receiving the material. These complaints shall be made in writing, by fax or email and explaining concisely and clearly the complaint’s reasons.

Must I order the exactly sqm which I need in my Project?

Spigogroup recommends estimating a slightly higher superior number of materials in order to avoid replacements for drops or others mishaps. Inasmuch as these substitutes will be valued according to our Prices list in case of these will be inferior to 20 sqm.

What is the difference between Acoustic conditioning and Acoustic isolation?

One of the frequent mistakes of people, who are not acoustic expert, is to confuse acoustic isolation or soundproofing with acoustic conditioning. They are associated, but they are completely different concepts, which are not convenient to mix if we want that the acoustic performances of our local will be reduced its efficacy.
The acoustic isolation or soundproofing is the ensemble of material and developed techniques to aisle or mitigate the sound level in a space, these materials treat to impeding a sound from penetrating a space or escaping from it.  Nevertheless, the aim of acoustic conditioning is to manage that sound from a source will be irradiated equally in all directions, reaching a diffused ideal sound field, that is to say an excellent sonority.

What is the difference between demountable ceilings to recordable ceilings?

Sometimes people confuse between demountable ceilings and recordable ceilings. Recordable ceilings could be demountable, but demountable ceilings are not always recordable ceilings. Now I am going to explain it:

Wooden demountable ceilings allow for easy and fast collocation, but in some occasions, they don’t allow record in all their points. Once it is installed, we can to dismantle it, but we will always start to do it in lateral part. So we need to dismantle all ceiling to replace one panel to other. However, recordable ceiling allow for putting and removing the panels as often as you want. This characteristic is ideal when we want to incorporate complements such as ventilation grills, fire-fighting sensors, lighting panels, loudspeaker grill…

What are the main benefits and advantages of false-ceilings in a construction?

The inclusion of false-ceilings like a solution in construction has a great quantity of performances such as: (1) hide installation works (heating, wired, fire-fighting systems…), (2) its use for an acoustic-thermal adaption in the spaces, where it is installed, (3) its ease of maintenance and manipulation for possible maintenance and repairs to be carried out a posteriori; and (4) its aesthetic qualities, false-ceilings make a very relevant aesthetic function, because they hide from-view all installations in the plenum between superior ceiling to suspended ceiling. Furthermore this system improves the aesthetic of spaces and the places proportions, because the height is decreased.

The Absorption coefficient, can it be more than 1?

Theoretically, it cannot. Because the surface will be absorb more sound which it receives. Those values above the unit are occurred for small deviations when we obtain the absorption coefficient. However, this, in normal conditions, has a value between 0 to 1,00. The zero means absorption absence (total reflection), and 1,00 means total incident sound absorption.

What is the minimum depth of plenum to false-ceilings installation?

In this point, it should be taken into account the panel, the profile system and moreover the ease of installer to introduce their hands in the plenum and so, the installer will join the suspensions to main profiles.
If the ceiling has exposed form, the panel is collocated upward through the profile before installing. It is necessary 150 mm (approx) between forgings to superior part of main profile. If the ceiling has concealed form, it is collocated downward and the margin is reduced, being profile installation factors which prevail. Furthermore you have to take into account that the conducts, tubes or electrical conducts which there are in the plenum can be modify these values.

What is the difference between fire performances to fire resistance?

Fire performance is related to superficial combustion and propagation velocity which facilitate the fire extension of a determinate area. On the contrary, the fire resistance makes reference to prevent spreading of flames throughout a building, once a fire is declared.

How do I understand the hands criteria of doors?

To define the hand of a door, an established rule in IRAM 11505 Part 1 regulation is adopted, where the left hand opens with a counterclockwise rotation movement and Right hand opens with clockwise rotation movement.

I have found in your documentation the reference NRC, what does it means?

They are the acronyms of “Noise Reduction Coefficient”. It is a valuation of acoustic absorption in only one number. It is defined like the arithmetical average of acoustic absorption coefficients of 4 frequencies of 1/3 octave filter concentrated in 250, 500, 1000, 2000 Hz. They are rounded to nearest 0.5. This system has been used in Europe throughout a period of time, which was originated in USA. However, in the latest years, it is being replaced by weighted acoustic absorption coefficient αw.
