Interior doors in hotels (passage doors, room doors, fire doors or acoustic doors) can be made of different materials. The market offers many options. However, architects, interior designers and decorators are clear that, if you want to get a warm and cosy atmosphere, if you want hotel guests to feel at home, you really should choose wood.

This is the case of the Hotel Palacio Tondón, in the quiet village of Briñas, La Rioja, where the architectural studio CARPE asked us to do the project woodwork.

The use of interior doors in hotels must be carefully thought out, because they have to combine an aesthetic role with more technical functions. To this purpose, we manufacture FR60 fire doors and 38 dB acoustic doors with white lacquered and special jamb finishes, Basic series passage doors lacquered in Jasper grey and hinged doors in Egger laminate. We also machined room doors to fit in card locks.

For the acoustic conditioning of some areas we installed a Spigoacustic false ceiling model 28-32-32 with a fireproof Bs1, d0 MDF core. With a more aesthetic goal, we manufactured a cladding consisting of heat-treated wood strips for the entrance hallway. Lastly, we manufactured dozens of details in wood such as skirting boards and wood stairs, circular plywood discs, pine handrails, pavements and flooring, decorative elements in cork, and a reception niche made of varnished solid ash wood effect.

The result was excellent. We recommend you visit the Hotel Palacio Tondón and enjoy its wonderful facilities and its marvellous surroundings. To give you a taste of what it is like, we leave you some photographs of the project.
